Wonderful news on the legalization front! The General Assembly of Virginia passed a bill today allowing CBD, or cannabidiol to be produced and distributed in the state. This bill acts as a bolster to a bill passed last year that allowed people with epilepsy to have the oil in their possession. However, last years bill did not provide any way for patients to secure CBD without breaking state law. Thank goodness the Virginia General Assembly realized the issue and took steps to ensure their constituents have access to the medication they need. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we see more legislation like this in other states!
